Loneliness

Lonely on weekends

Weekends feel empty because the week’s structure vanishes. Decide Saturday on Thursday.

Weekends feel lonely because offices, classes, and commutes stop hiding the gap. Friends in relationships disappear into couple time. The fix is a Thursday decision: one block on Saturday that involves other humans in a real place. Repeat that place. If you use Catch My Wave, share a Beat from there and see who else is dropping Beats around you.

The Saturday cliff

Friday night you tell yourself you will be spontaneous. Saturday at 11 you are still in bed with a feed of brunch. Spontaneity is for people with a default crew. If you do not have one, you need a default place.

Indian Sundays can be family-heavy or completely blank if you live in another city from your parents. Both can be lonely. A walk in a busy market is a legitimate plan. So is a campus library. You are not owed a party.

Make one weekend repeating

Same café, same hour, two Saturdays. Learn the staff’s faces. That sounds small because it is small. Small is how social lives actually grow after 22. Dating events and “singles groups near me” are optional extras. A repeating Saturday is the base.

Catch My Wave is useful when you are already in the city, not as a weekend from the mattress. New today is roughly the last three hours of Beats. Earlier today is quieter. After about twelve hours a Beat leaves the feed.

How Catch My Wave helps with lonely weekends

Drop a Beat. See who’s dropping Beats around you. Send a Wave. Chat when they catch it.

A Beat is a photo or a short clip from the place you’re in. Location is stored so people nearby can see it. Other people do not see your pin, the exact time, or a movement trail.

A Wave is a hello with an intent — coffee, chat, hang, campus. Catching is free. Chat opens only if they catch it.

Crossed paths means two Beats probably shared the same real-world context: about 300 metres, posted within about 30 minutes, in the last 24 hours. That is overlap, not proof you stood together.

We do not follow you while the app is open. Your pin is only taken when you share a Beat. You must be 18.

If you want people who are actually around you — this café, this campus, this place — open Catch My Wave, share a Beat, and look.

Questions people ask

What if all my friends are busy every weekend?

Believe them and stop waiting. Build a parallel Saturday that does not require their yes. They can join later. Waiting is how months pass.

Are dating events worth it on weekends?

Sometimes, if you like structured rooms. They are not the only way. A Beat from a place you already like is cheaper and closer to your real life.
